Wage and Hour We advise employers in complying with the complex rules of the Fair Labor Standards Act (Wage and Hour Law).  This includes determining who is exempt and non-exempt, minimum wage, overtime, determination of hours worked, meal period compliance, and what compensation is included in calculating overtime.  We represent clients in responding to wage and hour audits by the federal government.

Family and Medical Leave Act We advise employers in complying with the Family and Medical Leave Act, including which employees are eligible for leave, how much leave must be granted, disciplinary actions, compensation and benefits during leave, and reinstatement after leave.

Employee Handbooks and Policies.  We prepare and review employee handbooks, employment policies and forms for compliance with employment laws and positive employer-employee relations.

Day-to-Day Advice.  We advise employers on hiring, evaluating, disciplining and terminating employees in compliance with the law.

Employment Contracts.  We prepare a wide range of employment agreements, independent contractor agreements, confidentiality and non-competition agreements, and severance and release agreements.

Affirmative Action Plans. We write affirmative action plans and represent clients in responding to affirmative action audits by the federal government.

Occupational Safety and Health Act.  We advise employers in complying with OSHA and in responding to OSHA audits.
